Draw it before you promise it
Nothing is committed to a client that has not been drawn at scale first. A sketch that works at 1:100 and fails at 1:5 is not a design, it is an opinion.
Stay until it is built
Documentation quality is only ever proven on site. Leaving at the drawing-issue stage means never finding out whether the drawings were good enough.
Say the expensive thing early
Ground conditions, orientation and access set most of the eventual cost. If the news is bad it is cheapest to hear at week one, so that is when we say it.
One team, both disciplines
Exterior and civil sit in the same room and review each other's work. A facade nobody costed and a frame nobody looked at are the same failure.
