An eight-metre cantilever carrying a shaded terrace over the approach court.

The cantilever exists to shade the approach, not to be impressive. Because it is institutional, every element above head height was designed for access — the soffit panels demount from below on a standard tower, so a forty-year maintenance regime never needs a crane.
